Dmytro Yurchenko — known in the metal and gaming worlds as Di Yurchenko, and to readers of his own philosophical writing as Ander-Filosof — has spent over fifteen years building a visual language he calls gothic expressionism. Now he's building something larger: a single universe assembled from an album, a book, and a wall of paintings meant to be read as one work.
Dmytro is a Vinnytsia-based artist working across illustration, comics, album art, and concept design, and in parallel across music and philosophical writing. He defines his own visual language as gothic expressionism, and works out of Yurchenko Art-Studio, the workshop he founded, whose clients have included metal and rock bands, publishing houses, and game studios. Between 2023 and 2024 he held three major art exhibitions in Vinnytsia and Kyiv.
As a musician, Dmytro plays drums, writes lyrics, and produces for the project AntakaranA. He writes music reviews and essays, and in 2023 contributed to the media outlet The Rock Spectrum with an original column, "Music Chronicles." He also runs the Telegram channel Ander-Filosof and publishes essays on the platform Drukarnia — the same philosophical undercurrent that runs through his visual work surfacing directly in prose.

For the past several years, Dmytro has been moving deliberately toward a single integrated authorial universe — one where different art forms don't just coexist but grow out of each other. The central piece of that project, currently in progress under the working title Urban-Zen, tries to hold music, word, and image under one roof: a conceptual album, a synopsis-book built around it, and a series of illustrations meant to double as song covers and as pages in the book itself. He describes the project's growth as gradual and almost meditative — bursts of insight interspersed with long stretches of monotonous, patient work. It's an important experience for him precisely because it has no external deadlines and no outside client: work done purely for himself.
Alongside Urban-Zen, he's working on his first full-length prose piece — literary fiction interwoven with philosophical essay — which he plans to submit to publishing houses. Commercial work continues in parallel: illustrations for "Meč" ("The Sword"), a large esoteric-philosophical book by a foreign author, along with covers and merchandise for metal bands.
Family plays a significant role in his life — family values, and the balance between commissioned work and work made purely for himself, the "zen" he says is where his most honest and alive creative output is actually born.
