Max Sir International Film Festival Heads
to the Carpathian Mountains

On September 12–13, 2026, the Max Sir International Film Festival moves to the Carpathians — two days of screenings, a screenplay showcase, a dedicated Ukrainian block, and the grand final of Ms&Mrs Art Ukraine, all hosted at Grand Hotel Pylypets.

On September 12–13, 2026, the Max Sir International Film Festival will take place at the Grand Hotel Pylypets, bringing together filmmakers, artists, and audiences from Ukraine and abroad for two days of screenings, premieres, and creative exchange in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains.

The festival's official selection will present films across several competition categories: short narrative films, feature-length films, documentaries, and AI-generated films, reflecting both the traditional craft of cinema and its newest creative frontiers. The lineup brings together Ukrainian directors alongside filmmakers from abroad, continuing Max Sir IFF's mission of connecting Ukrainian cinema with the international film community.

This year's program also introduces a dedicated screenplay showcase, giving writers a platform alongside filmmakers, as well as a special Ukrainian block, where Ukrainian directors will present their work directly to festival audiences.

A particular highlight of this year's festival will be the runway show and grand final of the Ms&Mrs Art Ukraine competition. Finalists will present their creative works and the social projects they developed throughout the competition, followed by a runway presentation of participants dressed in national costume by the Ukrainian brand Vyshyte.
